The Formula
For US units, divide total distance by miles per gallon to get gallons needed. For metric, multiply distance in km by liters per 100km and divide by 100. Multiply fuel quantity by the per-unit price for total cost. CO2 emissions are estimated at 8.887 kg per gallon of gasoline.
