Profession Calculators

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to the website at professioncalculators.com, operated as an independent site. If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise any of your rights, please use our contact form.

2. What Data We Collect and Why

Calculator Inputs

We do not collect calculator inputs. All values you enter into any calculator on this site are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. None of that data is transmitted to our servers, stored in a database, or logged in any form. When you close or navigate away from a calculator, that data is gone.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used. This service collects anonymized data including page URLs visited, approximate geographic region (country level), device type, browser type, and referral source. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not track individual users across sessions, and does not collect IP addresses or any personally identifiable information. You can read Vercel's data practices at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Contact Form Submissions

If you submit a message via the contact form on this site, we collect the name, email address, and message text you provide. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add contact form submissions to any mailing list, share them with third parties, or use them for marketing. You may request deletion of your submission at any time by contacting us.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Profession Calculators itself does not set any first-party cookies for operational or tracking purposes. The site does not require a login, and we do not store session data in cookies.

However, this site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense sets third-party cookies on your device to serve ads and to measure ad performance. These cookies may include:

  • Advertising cookies: Used by Google to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites across the web. Google uses the DoubleClick cookie and similar technologies to record which ads you have seen and to limit how often you see the same ad.
  • Measurement cookies: Used to track ad click-through rates and conversions for advertisers. We do not have access to this data at the individual user level.

You can opt out of Google's use of cookies for advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For a full description of all cookies that may be set while you use this site, see our Cookie Policy.

4. Google AdSense and Personalized Advertising

We participate in Google AdSense, which is operated by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google AdSense uses cookies and web beacons to collect information about your browsing activity on this site and across other sites that use Google advertising services. This information is used to serve you ads that Google believes will be relevant to your interests.

Google's advertising practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. We have no control over the data Google collects through AdSense or how Google uses that data, and we receive no personally identifiable user data from Google as part of the AdSense relationship. Our relationship with Google under AdSense is governed by the Google AdSense Program Policies.

If you are located in a jurisdiction that requires it, Google will display a consent prompt before setting advertising cookies. You are not required to accept personalized ads to use this website.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. The only third-party services that may receive data about your visit to this site are Vercel (anonymous analytics) and Google (advertising cookies via AdSense), as described above. We do not use affiliate tracking links on this site.

We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process, such as a court order or subpoena.

6. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Anonymous analytics data collected by Vercel is retained according to Vercel's own retention policies, which you can review at vercel.com. Google retains AdSense-related data according to its own retention schedules, described at policies.google.com.

7. Your Rights

For users in the European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, the right to request correction or deletion of that data, the right to restrict or object to processing, and the right to data portability. Since calculator inputs are never stored, those rights apply primarily to contact form submissions. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

The legal basis for processing contact form data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. The legal basis for Google AdSense advertising cookies in the EEA is your consent, which Google collects via its consent management platform.

For California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To submit a data request, use our contact form and include "California Privacy Request" in the subject line.

8. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

The website is served exclusively over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. We do not store payment information, passwords, or other sensitive credentials because the site has no account system and no paid features.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when we add new features, change third-party services, or respond to legal requirements. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend checking this page if your use of the site changes significantly.

11. Contact
